REVIEW of Session 2
In today's session we will write poetry and prose for a specific audience.
We will create a Facebook Page for sharing our poetry with the world.
The Birmingham Teen Poetry Initiative wants to hear your voice and we will be writing original poems especially for this purpose.
R L P Session 3 rocked with original poems, songs and raps by Aliyah, Jeramie, Jordan "Pinch" Salon, and Justin. We discussed the poetry conventions of simile, metaphor, personification, alliteration, assonance and onomatopoeia. We are writing poetry for the Teen Open Mic Session on January 17, 2013 at DISCO located at 5500 1st Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama.
ReplyDeleteOn January 28 at 6 p.m. we will spit and perform at the Alys Stephens Center along with the Selma High School Choir. Let's do it poets!!! A free style broke out and the creativity began to flow from poet to poet. Ideas flowing voices and we just couldn't stop. So we flowed and flowed some mo' even past time to go. Let me hear your thoughts.
