Session 1: What is Poetry and Where Can I Find it?
Hello Poets !
Welcome to the Real Life Poets 2013-2014 blog where we will share resources, exchange and develop our ideas into the workable, publishable art of poetry.
In our first lesson we will focus on defining poetry and prose as well as explore the poetry audience
We will conduct a "Scavenger Hunt" to find poems about love, giving and the common good in unexpected places.

We talked about poetry and our ideas of what it encompasses. It encompasses life in it's rhythmic cycles and patterns which can be seen in nature, in our human bodies, our art, music and everything that is around us. We wrote poetry and created art that inspired some of the poetry. Pretty good first session, I would say. What do you say? I'm listening!!!
